Do You Know How to Do an Echappé?

Hi!  Welcome back to my blog.

Today we’re going to practice the ballet step called “échappé.”

Below is the definition of this step from Vance’s Ballet Dictionary:

“A movement in which the legs move from fifth position out to second position or, occasionally, to fourth position.”

Click on the link to see a video showing how to perform this step then practice it.

After you practice the échappé, ask your mom or dad if you can color the picture I found.  You may need help printing it out.

Don’t forget to say “please” and “thank you.”

I hope you’ll come back next week when we’ll practice more ballet together.
See you then!
